Fabiola Vilchez Ascher
Fabiola Vilchez Ascher is Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Diplomatica.
Fabiola is a highly organized strategic thinker, passionate about finding innovative solutions to issues affecting the world, both at the global and local level. Her work, and private life has taken her to over 25 countries, each time immersing herself in the culture, history, politics, and policies of a place.
With a focus on distinct issues, she has led and supported numerous official missions and delegations to Austria, Canada, Chile, China, Cuba, Ethiopia, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, and Spain.
While serving as President and Executive Director of Sister Cities of Los Angeles, a non-profit organization, she took on the monumental challenge to lead and re-launch the organization to modernize the concept of city-to-city cooperation. She successfully fundraised and elevated the organization’s profile locally and internationally.
With over 25 years of professional experience in nonprofits and government (California and internationally), she’s had the privilege to focus on diverse areas of work, including: campaign and community organizing, international trade, business development - housing, transportation, education, environmental sustainability policies - and major events. She is a coalition builder, facilitator, collaborator, and negotiator. As a consummate Generalist, Fabiola has a keen ability to connect the dots, understand the big picture, think outside the norm, and draw from a broad collection of knowledge.
She is a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in World Arts and Cultures and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from the Luskin School of Public Affairs, concentrating in Regional and International Development and the Built Environment.
Ms. Vilchez Ascher is fluent in Spanish, her native language.
